Lisa Tenzin-Dolma was born in Portsmouth, England, but had a nomadic childhood and adolescence in Malta, Scotland, Malaysia and
Singapore, and later moved to Ireland before settling in the UK. Growing up as a guest in other countries and
cultures was a profoundly formative experience.
Lisa's non-fiction books to date are mainly focussed on the natural world and on ways in which we can foster an increased sense of connection with the inner self and the world around us. Three new books will be coming out over the next year. Lisa also conducts interviews and has written over 500 articles for various magazines. Recently she completed her first novel, The Swan Lake, and has written a feature film screenplay of the same title, based on the novel. A television programme based on The Glastonbury Tarot was made and screened by ITV. Filmed during sub-zero temperatures and freezing fog which created spectacular natural "special effects," the title of the programme, Mystic Eve, seemed very appropriate! The sense of adventure that has always led her to seek out new experiences has led her into a diverse range of careers before writing became a full-time job. She's earned a living as a singer-songwriter, nurse, aromatherapist, counsellor, astrologer, clothes and jewellery designer, wholefood cook, medical assistant in a haematology laboratory, artist and illustrator, and proof-reader and editor. www.tenzindolma.co.uk |
